1099-NECs, filed for you

Contractors add a W-9 at onboarding and Pinnacle checks each TIN with the IRS. Every January it e-files each 1099-NEC and sends every contractor a copy.

Pinnacle’s partner banks reach any US checking account. About seven in ten take instant payouts over RTP or FedNow; the rest land the same day over ACH.

Finance teams who stopped chasing wires.

We used to lose a day and $4,000 a month to wires. Now the payout run is a Tuesday-morning approval, and our Austin crew is paid before lunch.

Robin Castellanos

Head of Finance, Halden

The cost table is why we switched. I can show a contractor exactly what they were paid, which rail it took and when it landed, without opening a spreadsheet.

Sasha Okafor

Controller, Tessel

Forty-one people across Ohio, paid over RTP and reconciled into our ledger the same afternoon. Their 1099s went out in January without a single email.

What does a payout actually cost?

Same-day ACH is free, instant payouts over RTP or FedNow are $0.50 each, and wires are $5.00. There are no monthly, account or receiving fees.

How long until a contractor is paid?

Seconds, if their bank takes RTP or FedNow — about seven in ten US checking accounts do. The rest land the same day over ACH when a run is approved by 2:30 PM ET.

Where is our money held?

In FDIC-insured accounts at two partner banks, held for your benefit and apart from Pinnacle’s own funds. Pinnacle is not a bank and never lends your balance out.

Do you file our 1099-NECs?

Yes. Pinnacle collects a W-9 at onboarding, checks each TIN with the IRS, and every January e-files each 1099-NEC with the IRS and any state that wants its own copy.

Do contractors need a Pinnacle account?

No. They add their bank details and W-9 once through a secure link. Each payment then arrives like a direct deposit.

How do we move from our current provider?

Import your contractor list as a CSV, fund your balance from your business checking, and run a test payout to yourself. Most teams switch in one pay cycle.

Run next month’s payouts from here.

Open an account in an afternoon, fund it from your business checking, invite your contractors, and approve your first run the same day.
